Laser Offset Target Generator

01

Measure your offset

Measure from the center of your scope to the center of the red visible laser emitter. Calipers give the best result.

Left and right are as seen from behind the rifle. Example from the FIRE4000 manual: a 4-16×50 scope measured 75 mm / 2.9 in to the laser.

02

Set up the target

A parallel offset is the same physical distance at every range. The target works at 25 and 100 alike.

Aim small, miss small. Use the smallest reflector you can still clearly see through your scope at the zero distance. A smaller reflector forces a more precise laser alignment.

Print at 100% / Actual size. Check the 1-inch scale square on the sheet with a ruler before use.

Verify & correct

Hold your reticle on the target cross. Measure where the laser dot actually lands, relative to your point of aim.

Range procedure

  1. Zero the optic first. Confirm your rifle scope zero, ideally at 100 yards, before mounting the rangefinder.
  2. Mount and measure. Install the unit and measure center-of-scope to center-of-laser, vertically and horizontally.
  3. Print and hang. Generate the target above, print at actual size, and place the reflective sticker inside the marked circle.
  4. Start close. At 25 yards, hold the reticle on the target cross and keep it there.
  5. Adjust the laser. Use the U/D and L/R adjusters to move the red dot onto the center of the reflector. Use Step 03 to calculate the correction.
  6. Confirm at distance. Re-check at 100 yards on the same target. If the dot stays centered on the reflector, the laser is parallel.

Visible laser: 635 nm Class II, for zeroing only. Never look into the beam or view it through optics.
